Don the "C" Width from Cheney,
I really like this shoe and have bought many pairs of the
last 10 years. I am, however concerned about the soul. My
last pair's soul on one foot cracked clear across the soul.
I had not worn them very long, maybe 6 months, and I think
the material that the soul is made of must have been
defective. I could not find a shoe repair shop that had the
tools required to repair it.

I have very wide feet with a huge instep and the this is the
only stylish slip-on that I have ever found that I can wear.
I also have plantar fasciitis and these are the only shoes
I've found that don't hurt. I love them. They're stylish,
they're comfortable, and they're durable. The last pair I
bought 9-EE was my fifth pair. And I will continue to buy
more. But I do wish the white was available in the EEE

I have bought these shoes four times over the last 20 years
maybe more. I have had the black and brown ones all the
times. I bought my first pair on a lark at a shoe store
downtown Manhattan. I liked them so much I bought the other
color soon thereafter. When I wore those out I bought
another set. This is the second time I've bought them on
line. I needed a pair for more formal ware that I hadn't

I normally wear 8.5 EEE for the past 8-10 years but recently
developed swelling in my feet I went to 8.5 5E and the
comfort is just right the 5E was a perfect fit for my
swollen feet. 5E is a hard find. Thank you for the great
comfortable shoes I ordered one pair and liked them so much
I ordered a second pair. My problem now is that I have three
pair of brand new unworn 8.5 EEE shoes that I need to donate
to a charity.

I bought these by mail order from the UK to replace a pair
that I had originally bought in store during a visit to
Washington DC. The originals were smart, comfortable and
easy to keep clean. They finally, after years of good
service, wore out (the soles are not readily replaced) and I
wanted to replace them with an identical pair. The new shoes
are quoted as "regular" in width but they are rather narrow
compared to the previous ones.

Bought these shoes for my husband. He wears 5E width. This
is his 3rd pair. I made him buy this pair as back up, don't
want him barefoot. Really, they are so comfortable. He says
they feel like slippers, very soft leather and the soles are
holding up well. He has a hard time getting any shoes or
slippers in his width. Hope you keep this in stock and maybe
a light color for summer as you only have the black and
burgundy in his size. Please do not start having them made
in China. everything we buy from there is poor quality.

I have been buying this Florsheim Riva shoe for many years.
It is rare that you can find a brand new shoe like Riva that
has a soft upper leather and lower cushioned sole that feels
comfortable right when you put it on without needing a break
in period. The down side to this shoe is that the when the
sole wears out it is time to buy a new Riva pair since the
sole isn't repairable. The Riva lasts me about a year before
needing a replacement. This is fine with me since I prefer
their comfort over many other dress or casual shoes on the
market that have a harder upper leather and harder sole.
Also, my feet have an unusual sensitivity to hard leather.
That narrows my choices to buying shoes with softer upper
leather. For me, it is the one shoe that I can count on year
after year. I can wear it to work, weddings, and to the
